• Can I have my child baptized at Trinity?
Absolutely, though we would love to have a relationship with the wider family in celebrating this symbol and sign of God’s faithfulness. In other words, at least one parent needs to be a baptized, confessing member of Trinity. Our elders and pastoral staff would be very excited to walk you through this process and grow deeper in Christ together. Contact Benjamin Bruins (email@example.com) or Sarah Bruins (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information on baptisms, professions of faith, re-affirmations of faith or the like.
• Can we get married at Trinity?
Weddings are a covenantal celebration of God’s people. At Trinity, couples are encouraged to be involved in the life of the congregation if they desire to be married in our facilities. Exceptions can and will be made. Premarital classes (usually 5 sessions) are a requirement for both members and nonmembers. If outside clergy are to be used, these persons and liturgies need to be approved by the Elders prior to the worship service. Please contact the office for the full wedding policy and availability of dates.
• Who can partake in communion at Trinity?
On one level, all who hunger for Jesus are very welcome to the table. Our official words of invitation are these: All who are baptized into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and are actively growing into such truth are warmly welcome to this meal. In other words, all who are baptized and want to eat the bread of life and drink the cup of salvation are welcome. If you would like to know more about being baptized or a reformed understanding of these sacraments, please contact Sarah (email@example.com) or Ben (firstname.lastname@example.org).
• Will you pray with me?
We would love to. Please call the office to schedule a meeting (616 451-4131).
• How can I find out more about special events and happenings outside of Sunday mornings?
We invite you to sign up for our e-mail newsletter by using the form on the homepage or feel free to contact Becky Dykhuis, our Coordinator for Connection and Engagement (email@example.com) and she would be more than happy to help plug you into our Trinity community. Upcoming events are also often posted on Trinity’s Facebook page.
