Rev. Karsten Voskuil

Karsten has served as Trinity’s pastor and president of the consistory since February of 2003.  Before coming to Trinity, Karsten was an associate pastor at Central Reformed Church in Grand Rapids.  Karsten is a graduate of Hope College (BA in Political Science) and Western Theological Seminary (MDiv) and was ordained in June of 1999.   Karsten is a married father of four daughters and is a very committed Red Sox apologist.  Vocational interests include ecclesiology, missiology, worship, and the intersection between politics and theology.  Recommended texts include Leslie Newbigin’s Foolishness of the Greeks, Walsh and Keesmaat’s Colossians Remixed, the Iona Community’s Wee Worship Book, Hauerwas’ Peaceable Kingdom, Wendel Berry’s Sex, Economy, Freedom and Community, NT Wrght’s Way of the Lord, and Jim Brownson’s The Promise of Baptism.
